Having a 2 year old and a day job you don’t always get the ability to just go out and take photographs at your leisure. I had the day off today and was setting up my studio for a shoot i have this weekend. The light shining through the window was casting on my backdrop beautifully so I sat right in front of it and grabbed my camera. Daydreaming and staring at my keyboard and messy work station I see the perfect subject matter. Didn’t even have to move, grabbed my camera, pulled up the blind, and snap. CF card came out of the camera into the reader and my image onto this page…waalah. And I wonder why my Abs are not quite as firm as they used to be, such is life I guess. The world was literally at my finger tips this week, gotta love that!

Still life..what exactly is still life? To me, it is when I can sit back, reflect on who you I am, a moment in silence, or maybe just John’s nap time :) .

As Jan qouted, ” You don’t take a photograph, you make one.” ~Ansel Adams. As far as what Sam Adams says, i am not sure but I am enjoying his creation while I write this.
